With help from our legal team Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG), OWMA has submitted a letter to Circular Materials (CMO) in response to the Master Services Agreements (MSA) that were issued to municipalities regarding the Blue Box transition (completed July 2023). Upon careful review and legal analysis of the transition contracts, we identified several provisions that imposed unreasonable conditions, costs and requirements on municipalities and service providers. The letter was submitted June 8th and along with analysis from OWMA’s legal team, can be read in the following submission.
