OWMA Webinar: Federal Engagement on Strengthening Labelling Recycling & Composting Rules & a Proposed Plastics Registry

The Government of Canada has recently released two consultation papers in their efforts to advance the plastics circular economy:

• Consultation paper: A proposed federal plastics registry for producers of plastic products, and 
• Consultation paper: Towards Canada-wide rules to strengthen recycling and composting of plastics through accurate labelling. 

Before the end of the public comment period (i.e., October 7, 2022), OWMA will be holding a webinar led by staff to provide an overview of the proposed changes and their potential impacts on the waste management sector. Questions and feedback from the session will help finalize the OWMA’s submission.
